NNCrystal has developed high-quality cadmium telluride (CdTe) nanocrystals for solar photovoltaic (PV) purposes. These nanomaterials are of particular interest in the research and development of thin film solar cells because they may be coated onto thin, flexible substrates to reduce the overall size and mass of the cell when compared to traditional silicon PV cells. Furthermore, with the introduction of nanometer-sized particles, even less material is needed to achieve the same level of captured sunlight. Our line of CdTe nanoparticles offers the same features as our other nanomaterials, including excellent size distribution, high stability and quality performance.
